WORKING WEEKEND

Back to real life as I spend the Labor Day weekend splitting firewood for the winter. We do not heat with wood as we use the fireplace for ambiance. Split two truckloads and have at least two more to go. My wife is boxing up her consignment store up as the owners were ousted on their lease. She found another store to rent a space and she likes the new area and store better. Things have a way of working out sometimes. Today she boxes up the small stuff and Monday after my splitting is done we move the big stuff into the new location. Labor Day holiday is for the working man and woman I believe. All it does is give my wife time to complete tasks and find me more work to do. We generally work more on Memorial Day weekend too. We built a fire ring this summer and put a swing and benches around it for having neighbors over sometime, if any come.
