Another Change of Life

Updated: Jan 22, 2020

After retiring from 16 years of working for the Veterans Administration I am starting my own private practice. I have worked in substance abuse in a big county jail and in community mental health. From there I went to the VA working beside the Marine base named Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. Then I went to Knoxville, TN where I worked specifically with combat and sexually traumatized veterans for the last five years till my retirement. Change is the only thing that is constant and along came my mother in law that hated on me for 20 years has been living with us for 2 years now. Now I am home all day with you know who.

PTSD is a sensitivity issue and I wrote a book about it in a way nobody else is describing. My fellow veterans told me it was like I was inside their heads and they appreciated the insight. The book is available on Amazon and it is titled Helping Our Heroes Heal, Beginning the Journey with Rick.
